Hopkins District Library Board Meeting
March 14, 2017
Call to Order - Karon Dunifin, President at 6:30 p.m.
Roll Call Present - Natalie Bazen, Morgan Coon, Karen Dunifin, Lynn Francis, Mimi Gabriel,
Amy Germain, Sandy Morris, Traci Rhoades and Barb Wrobleski
Absent - none
Approval of Agenda - Lynn made a motion to accept and Amy seconded.
Approval of Minutes - Karon made a motion and Mimi seconded.
Treasurer’s Report - no report - computer problems and tax season for Sandy.

Director’s Report -
Programs -
Publicity - Up to 651 likes on Facebook, planning additional advertising on Facebook, Allegan County Community Foundation quarterly news is out, advertisement is still up at the Regent Theater, January-February newsletter is out,
Meetings, workshops, etc - Advisory and Board Meeting for LLC
Building Issues - Planning on power washing the building before the 4th of July.
Budget Issues - none
Library Closings - Easter holiday
Volunteers -
Other - We will need to make room on our shelf for the new Library of Congress books. Natalie and Elyshia brought both libraries about $30,000 worth of books. Great job!!
Old Business -.
New Business - Copier quotes are still coming in, Lakeland vote and personnel issues. A motion was made by Traci and 2nd by Lynn to have Elyshia Schafer as our interim director. The banks are getting the transfer paperwork completed. Dorr would still like to share the librarian with us and a committee is being formed to proceed with the interview process. Karon and Mimi will be the Hopkins representatives. Natalie’s last day is March 25, 2017. A farewell party will be held at our library on Wednesday, March 22nd.
The meeting was adjourned to have a Library Trustees workshop with the Dorr trustees. Shirley Bruursema lead us in our workshop on trustee duties.
