May 13, 2014

Present: Natalie Bazan, Karon Dunifin, Lynn Francis, Mimi Gabriel, Anita Kerber, David Klink, Chris Navis, Barbara Wrobleski

Absent: Suzanne Antvelink

1. Meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM.

2. Roll Call.

5. Treasurer’s Report

Report was approved as presented.

· Letter from Dorr Township Board member.

7. Public Comment

· None.

8. Director’s Report

* Programs

o Sticks & Strings – 3rd Monday of the month.

o Book club meeting regularly.

o Summer Reading Club.

o Upcoming bee program.

o Scheduling programing for teen grant and joint grant with Dorr.

* Publicity

o Up to 180 likes on Facebook.

* Meetings, workshops, etc.

o Advisory and board meeting for LLC.

o 4th of July committee.

o Rural libraries conference.

o Two committees at MLA.

* Building Issues

o None.

* Budget Issues

o None.

* Library Closings

o Memorial Day weekend.

* Volunteers

o 22 people in Friends of the Library group.

o Donations of books still arriving.

o Summer secret project for June or July.

o Grant applications.

o Presentation for Lakeland’s continuing education canceled.

o Ancestory.com and Antiques database up and active.

o DVD rentals up.

o Letters for summer reading program donations sent out to businesses.

o Getting a truck to move a display case.

· Township update.

o Agreed to have Suzanne sign agreement.

10. New Business

· Work on craft corner – sign up sheets going out.

o Agreed to space rental agreement as amended.

· Approved purchase of Keurig for library.

· None.

12. Meeting was adjourned at 7:55 PM.
